Seriously. Here in Utah I feel like we like in a geographical oddity. We are at least 3 hours from some of my favorite things.
Round Table Pizza – Closest one is in Elko, NV which is 3.5 hours away
Jack-in-the-Box – Closest one is in St George, UT which is 4 hours away
Pinkberry – Closest one is in Vegas which is 6 hours away
Okay, well that isn’t entirely true according to the Pinkberry website. Supposedly there is one in the Salt Lake City airport. However, in order to be able to get to it I would have to get through TSA which means I would need a boarding pass. 🙁 Same with Cinnabon. The closest one is in the airport. Makes me sad, but this post is about frozen yogurt.
I love Pinkberry. It is DELICIOUS. I first had it on our honeymoon in San Diego three and a half years ago. Since then I must have it anytime we go anywhere that has one. A couple of weeks ago we went to Vegas and guess what?
Yes, that’s me holding my required Pinkberry. Who cares if it was only 40 something degrees? That is actually the chocolate hazelnut flavor. Amazing. Smooth. Cream. Omg. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Last year my mom and I went on a mission to find the best frozen yogurt in Utah. There are tons of frozen yogurt places and we tried a bunch. We decided that Yogurtland had the best tasting yogurt. Now I haven’t been there in a while, because it’s cold out and I have to carry a baby in. But in light of my recent trip to Pinkberry I really wanted another hit so I went to Yogurtland. They had hazelnut latte, which was fair in my opinion. It had a strong, fake coffee flavor. And it was icey, not smooth and creamy like Pinkberry.
And then last night I happened to be on the Jamba Juice website and guess what I found? Frozen yogurt!
And guess what? Not a single location in Utah offers frozen yogurt. Which is super sad because I LOVE Jamba Juice and I bet their frozen yogurt is amazing.
Anyone know of a good place to get frozen yogurt that is actually accessible in Salt Lake? Something realistically comparable to Pinkberry would be lovely.
