It’s January 1st, so you know what that means. Goals time! Whoo hoo. Last year I had 4 goals. I would say that I had about a 50% achievement rate with them. Not great, but I did accomplish something that I wanted to. So there’s that I guess.
This year I’m only going to make a few goals as well.
1) Organize and declutter
Let’s start with what I didn’t get done last year. I didn’t even touch this goal. I mean, who really wants to clean? I know I don’t. But I would love to have a house that is easier to manage and keep clean. So I guess that means I need to do something about it. We have a LOT of stuff we don’t use/need. I can probably make a weekly trip to the thrift store for at least a couple of months and get rid of a good portion of the clutter. I have lots of plans, I just need to put some in to action.
2) Eat healthier
The year didn’t start out too bad, but then I got pregnant. And I just wanted Sprite. And I didn’t want to go to the grocery store. And I didn’t want to make dinner. So we ate a lot of fast food. No bueno. This year I am planning to eat less take out and cook more healthy meals at home.
3) Grow my blog
My blog did grow in 2014. Quite a bit actually. And I honestly didn’t put a ton of work into it. Because I was pregnant and nauseous and tired. I have been reading some ebooks and making big plans. I have a huge list of blog post ideas and an editorial calendar to try to keep me on track. I am also contributing to not one, but two big blogs this year. One is Clark’s Condensed written by my friend Katie and the other is Made From Pinterest. I’m excited that these lovely ladies are letting me get some posts out there in front of a larger audience. I can’t wait to see where my blog goes this year.
4) Take more photos of my babies
I did learn how to shoot manual mode last year. Kind of. I really could use more work on that. But I haven’t shot in auto since March. So that’s a big accomplishment. This year I really want to take more pictures of my babies and actually get some photos printed and hung up.
5) Do my hair at least once a week
While a top knot can be cute, when I wear it every day I start feeling lazy. I want to wear my hair down or in a fancier updo than just a bun at least once a week. That means I will need flat iron, curl, or at least scrunch my hair once a week so that I can actually do something with it. I am toying with the idea of a new hairstyle. We shall see. I’ve pinned some cute ones to my hairstyle board.
I can’t wait to see what this new year brings. Here’s to a great 2015!
What are some of your goals for the new year?
