This tutorial for how to use attach in Cricut Design Space will have you designing like a pro in no time.
In this Design Space 101 installment, we are talking about how to use the attach feature.
Forgetting to attach something to your mat makes for a really frustrating cut.
If you ever lined up your project just so to make sure that you are using every last scrap of your vinyl, iron-on, paper, whatever and then you click make it and Design Space has rearranged everything then you know what I’m talking about.
There’s a really simple fix for that. It’s called the attach icon. All you have to do is select your design and click attach. Simple as that.
The attached icon attaches your stuff to the mat right where it is in Design Space. So when you click make it it’s all laid out exactly the same.
This is awesome for making sure that you cut with the littlest amount of waste possible.
This is also great for when you have different text layers.
It’s perfect if you were trying to keep everything spaced evenly for vinyl or iron-on.
It’s not something you have to do, you can definitely just go with the flow and cut however the Cricut decides to lay out your designs.
However, I think the attach button makes every project easier. Especially if I am cutting triangles.
For some reason Design Space always wants to line them up with all the points up instead of alternating point up, point down.
