Animals are so fun and interesting. And kids love them. That’s why these animal flash cards are excellent for busy bags.
My mom found a couple sets of animal flash cards in the dollar spot at Target and decided that the babies, Thor and Vlad, would have fun looking at them. So she bought one of each. When we opened them up we realized how cute they were and decided to laminate them to make them last longer. You know how rough toddlers are on things.
The first set is animals of the world. There are 36 cards. They have a beautiful artistic rendition of the animal on the front. The back has a ton of facts about the animal. That’s still over the babies’ heads but we can still talk to them about the animals. What they are called, where they are from, what they eat, etc.
The second set is animals. There are 36 cards with a different animal on each side. So there are 72 animals total. I love how simple they are. They make me think of Montessori cards that I have seen.
They have land animals, sea animals, and insects. So there’s a wide mix of creatures for kids to learn about.
Thor loves to look at these cards. I can’t believe how many animals he already knows.
If you hurry to Target they might still have a couple boxes in the dollar spot. But these babies are going to go fast! So if you want some you better get going.
If you make some I’d love to see them. Share them via social media with the hashtag #myrickabamboo.
