I’m going to walk you through how to use align in Cricut Design Space to get all your text and shapes perfectly lined up for the perfect cut every time.
If you want to get your text and or your shapes lined up perfectly in Cricut Design Space then the align feature is your friend.
In order to use align, simply highlight the elements that you are wanting to line up. It can be as many or as few as you want.
Once you have them selected, go to the toolbar on top and in the center it says “align”.
When you click it the dropdown menu opens up with your options, as well as icons for each so that you can see what each option will do.
Your options are first horizontal. You can align everything to the left, center or right.
The next group down is vertical. You can align everything to the top, center or bottom.
And then there is a centering option. This will align the center points of each selected element. So if you center two different sized circles the smaller one will be exactly in the middle of the bigger one.
Also found under the align menu is “distribute”. This is also a very helpful tool get all of your elements spaced evenly.
The “Distribute Horizontally” feature will evenly space your elements between the far left and far right ones that you have selected.
The “Distribute Vertically” will evenly space them between the furthest top and the bottom elements that you have selected.
Align and distribute really line everything up to get a even and polished design every time.
