As my Whole 30 journey comes to an end I share my results and what’s next.
I finished the Whole 30!! Woo hoo!
It actually wasn’t too bad. It really helped that my husband and my parents were doing it too. We all made it the entire thirty days.
We even had a dinner with friends that we took our own food to so that we could still enjoy date night and stay on track.
It was definitely harder for the kids. They were counting down the days until it was over. We are celebrating today at Leathery’s for some ice cream. Haha. I know. I know. But life is about compromise. It’s not like I am NEVER going to eat sugar again. Just not every single thing that I eat.
I actually felt pretty good. I would say my energy was better, not crazy, but better. I was definitely less tired. I wasn’t getting more hours of sleep, just better quality sleep.
I was definitely less bloated, which meant that I was more comfortable in my own skin.
And now what you really want to know. I lost 11 pounds. So exciting. I was hoping for 15 but I will take 11.
The plan now is to keep up the trend. I want to eat real, good for you food 98% of the time but allow myself the occasional cheat. I am planning to switch to Paleo with some cheese.
On day 31 my super sweet husband brought me a Starbucks for breakfast. How nice is that?
Overall it was a good experience. I did tell my husband that I just wanted to eat a pizza and to never cook again. HAHA. But I guess the cooking is still going to have to happen since we don’t have a personal chef.
I would love to really start meal prepping. Just cooking on Sunday and have food to eat for the week. Less cooking, cleaning, and more time for other things on the weekdays.
I know I wasn’t the greatest at keep you up to date on my Whole 30 journey, but if you are interested in reading the other posts I wrote check out my Whole 30 page.
