This LipSense application tutorial has detailed instructions of how to apply LipSense to get the longest wear from this amazing product.
Your LipSense just arrived! YAY!
…
Now how do you put it on?
It’s easy. You want 3 thin layers topped off with gloss.
To get started you want to have clean, dry lips. For the best application make sure that the upper corners of your lips are dry too. Everywhere you are planning to apply the color should be nice and dry to your waterline
First, shake the tube to mix all the pigment and botanicals. Shake from top to bottom so that you don’t snap the wand off of the lid in the tube. There is a little ball in there, similar to nail polish, that will get it all mixed back together.
Second, scrape the majority of the color off of the wand on the side of the tube. This will allow you to apply nice, thin layers.
Going in one direction, apply LipSense to your lips in even swipes. Going back and forth won’t allow LipSense to adhere properly and it will wear much faster than usual. Bolder colors may look uneven, but remember, you are going to put three layers so it will all even out.
Allow a few seconds, 5-10, between layers. Try not to touch your lips together. Unglossed LipSense is sticky and your lips could peel your color off as you pull them apart.
After you have applied three layers it’s time for the gloss. Glossy gloss is my favorite, but there are several to choose from. Check out my LipSense Color and Gloss Charts.
Now your lips look beautiful and are full of moisture. Plus your color will last for hours! That’s a win in my book.

Why does it sting my lips
Amber Simmons says
Sometimes LipSense stings because your lips are dry and it has alcohol in it to help with the drying.
