Create custom puzzles using the Cricut machine.
If you saw last month, you know that I am participating in a Create With Cricut material challenge. This month the material is cereal boxes.
I decided to let the kids get in on the fun.
I opened up the box so it would lay flat and had the little one use the Do-a-Dot markers on the inside of the box.
He really loves the dot markers.
Then we let it dry.
After it was all dry I cut the box down on the fold lines. Leaving it in a bigger piece allowed him to get creative with the dots without having to have something under the smaller piece we were going to cut out.
I used the puzzle shape from JGoode Designs (#M68E363) and sized it to a 7-inch square because our box panel was seven and a half inches wide.
I could have unlocked it and made it a rectangle puzzle, but I just went with a square.
I placed it on the green mat, print size down, art side up. Then I cut it using the cereal box setting in Design Space using the black deep cut blade.
After it was cut it was ready to play with.
The boys love that their art can be made into puzzles. I am thinking next we will glue a coloring book page to a cereal box and try that.
Check out what the other bloggers made.
