I have compiled a long list of ideas of 25+ things to do in the carpool line to help you make the most of the time you spend waiting in the car.
We started kindergarten this year. So you know what that means?
CARPOOL!!
Can I just say “UGH!”
Every parent who drives it hates it.
But what are you supposed to do when there’s no school bus?
Plus, I learned quickly, as in the first day, that 15 minutes before school gets out won’t cut it.
That puts me too far back in the line to get kiddo number one and get to the other school in time to get kiddo number 2.
That means I need to show up earlier. Like another 15 – 20 minutes earlier.
Somehow I’m still not the first one there. Weird right? We’re talking almost 40 minutes before the bell rings and parents are already lining up.
So, if I have to wait 40 minutes to be toward the front of the line, what’s a girl to do while she waits?
Answer: ANYTHING SHE WANTS

Check the parent portal for your school
Make appointments – I’m really bad at making time to make appointments for the doctor, dentist, and the groomer. Haha. I just don’t want to and with kids screaming in the background I let it slide.
Pay bills
Order grocery pick-up – I use Walmart because it’s free. Use this link and get $10 off your first order.
Better yet, order groceries to be delivered – I LOVE Shipt! They have same day delivery and your personal shopper texts you if any substitutions need to be made. Use this link and get your membership for $49 for the year. That’s less than $1 a week to have your groceries delivered right to your door! Don’t worry, you can try it for free first.
Reserve a spot in a class at the gym – If you go to Lifetime they have an app you can use to reserve spots in most of their classes. No more showing up and finding out there’s no room for your yoga mat.
Plan a Disney vacation – Get Away Today has the best deals on Disney vacations. It’s more affordable than you think. And you can do layaway and make payments on your vacation.
Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to take yourself a drink and a snack. You deserve it.
