I don’t know about you, but I have had a crazy 2016.
We moved out of our first home. One of our dogs died. Into my parent’s house for a couple months. We bought a new house. We renovated the first floor. We moved into our new house. We got a new dog. I raced in two Spartan races. And I still haven’t finished unpacking.
I’m sad to say that I haven’t even set my sewing machine up yet. The last time I sewed was June.
I know. So sad. I was cranking along and getting some projects out before we listed our house back in February. I have plans to set it all up in my craft room, but I haven’t finished unpacking it so there are boxes everywhere.
Unpacking and decluttering is high on my to-do list as we approach the new year.
I wanted to take a moment and show off some of the projects I made this year. If you follow me over on Instagram then you might have already seen them.
DIY Letterboard
Yes, there is a post coming about this. Santa brought me my present early, a new computer, since one of the little people living in my house knocked my sweet tea over on to the old one. So really, this tutorial is coming. Hopefully in the next week.
R2D2 Applique Mini Quilt
This was for a Star Wars themed mini quilt swap. It was really fun to make. I plan to share the pattern so that you can make your own. I also need to make another one for myself.
Very Mini Quilts
I made these two cuties for the #veryminiquiltswap. The triangle one I used the sidekick ruler and cut the smallest triangle out of several Kona cottons. The butterfly one is a butterfly charm block from LillyElla. I quilted it by following the pattern on the backing fabric.
Deer Embroidery
I made a couple of these for extras in swaps. They were fun to make and I can’t get enough of the deer fabric. I have plans to post tutorials for these as well in the not too distant future.
Mermaid Skinny Mini Quilt
This was made for a mini quilt swap that was just for skinny quilts. I chose a mermaid because I love them and my partner said that she loved the ocean. I need to make another for myself because I love it so much.
Buffalo Plaid Very Mini Quilt
Oh buffalo plaid. How I love thee. If it comes in buffalo plaid then I will buy it. I made this very mini quilt for myself to capture my love of buffalo plaid.

Have you ever participated in a swap? If so, what kind was it? I would love to know more about what you sent and received. Please comment below with some details.
