I call this one “What does the fox say?”
If you look at quilts, or the Instagram feeds / Pinterest boards of people who sew you have probably seen the amazing Fancy Fox quilt from the talented Elizabeth Hartman. Her fox blocks will knock your socks off. Haha. But seriously, they are super cute.
I have been dying to make one since I saw them. I finally did make one for my friend Katie of Clarks Condensed who is expecting a baby in September. I made the giant fox block for a small baby sized quilt.
I adore how it turned out. I loved it so much that I actually contemplated keeping it for myself. Thor also really liked it. He kept asking if it was for him the closer it got to being finished.
So, that means I get to make more foxes! I decided to do the original sized foxes and make the lap quilt. Thor said that he wanted rainbow foxes so this is the stack of fabric I ended up with.
There are 21 prints and the quilt takes 42 foxes. So I will do two of each print in the quilt.
But, because I’m crazy, while I am making this quilt for Thor I decided that I needed to make an identical quilt for Loki. They will have different backs to tell them apart, but other than that they will be the same. Look how cute this hipster foxes are!
These fox prints are perfect for the back of a Fancy Fox quilt. Thor and Loki will love their twiners fox quilts. I will be sewing foxes for days. Good thing they are so cute and fun to sew.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Want to see these quilts unfold in real time? I post new foxes as I complete them on my Instagram. Be sure to follow me so you don’t miss a single cute little fox face.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a free pattern. I purchased mine from the creator of the pattern, Elizabeth Hartman. https://ohfransson.bigcartel.com/product/fancy-fox-quilts-pdf-quilt-pattern
